South Drawn was founded by brothers Luke and Christian Mills in Melbourne with a simple conviction: lighting should be designed from the material outward, not the other way around. Their studio works with hand-formed artisan glass, recycled glass shards, and precision-engineered metal housings to create pendants, wall sconces, and linear fixtures that are conceived, engineered, and assembled entirely in-house. The Cloak collection — IP65-rated sconces in six glass finishes — demonstrates the approach: each piece pairs the unpredictability of blown glass with engineering precise enough for wet-rated outdoor installation. Their Point Five series uses recycled glass offcuts, deliberately preserving the air bubbles that most manufacturers work to eliminate. Every piece is made to order, which means lead times but also means your fixture was made for you.
