The country has one of the largest furniture manufacturing sectors in Europe, much of it producing for export under other names. Alongside it, a group of independent brands has been reissuing and reinterpreting Polish mid-century design, which was developed under very different constraints from the Scandinavian equivalent and looks distinctly its own as a result.
Expect solid construction, bentwood and plywood used confidently, and a value proposition that is currently better than anywhere else on this list. Check delivery terms — several of these makers ship across Europe, but not all of them ship well.
