Paul Cocksedge Studio

Paul Cocksedge has spent two decades turning material science into objects that provoke genuine wonder. Trained under Ron Arad at the Royal College of Art, he co-founded this Hackney-based studio in 2004 with Joana Pinho. Their shop offers signed, limited-edition pieces that distill the studio's large-scale installations into objects you can live with: the Invisible Bookend that seems to defy gravity, the Exploded Fruit Bowl made from a single sheet of laser-cut steel, record bowls shaped from vinyl. The work sits in collections at the V&A, MoMA, and the Design Museum. Collaborations with Dior, Hermès, and BMW speak to the caliber. Every piece carries a story about what materials can become when someone refuses to accept their obvious limitations.
