Paul & Romi

Paul & Romi is a German family business from Bielefeld that set out to make handmade ceramics accessible without making them cheap. Their stoneware is designed in-house and produced in two carefully selected Portuguese workshops with long ceramics traditions. Every piece is hand-glazed and fired twice at 1,250°C, making it exceptionally robust — dishwasher-safe, oven-safe, and frost-resistant. Four main series — Scandic Sails, Lyra, Nordic Fjord, and Nordic Forest — each have a distinct Scandinavian-inspired palette, and all are guaranteed to remain individually repurchasable until at least 2028. Sets start at 259 euros for eight people, which is remarkable value for genuine handmade stoneware. If a piece arrives damaged, they replace it without question. The approach is simple: beautiful tableware that you actually use every day, priced so that a full table setting is not a luxury purchase.
