Kiyo

Kiyo has reduced modular furniture to its essence: two elements — a Cube and a Cap — invisibly connected by magnets. That's the entire system. No tools, no screws, no assembly instructions. Click them together and you have a shelf, a sideboard, a room divider, or a bedside table. The R1 system is crafted from robust wood with precise tolerances that keep connections tight and stable. The design draws from Japanese clarity — minimal, warm, and deliberately restrained. Founded in Düsseldorf in 2022, Kiyo won the German Design Award for Excellent Product Design and Innovative Interior in 2024. Bundles range from €317 for an entry shelf to €951 for a highboard, with individual cubes at €139. They ship free across Europe with 30-day returns. The online configurator lets you design your exact layout before ordering. For anyone who wants furniture that adapts as life changes — moving, growing, reconfiguring — Kiyo's magnetic approach is the most elegant modular system available. Near-perfect customer ratings (4.97/5) back up the promise.
