Alto Hotel Group

Alto is a South Tyrolean hospitality company founded by brothers Klaus and Moritz Dissertori, who left their home region, built international careers in hospitality and portfolio management, then returned to create the kind of places they wished existed. The portfolio includes Hotel Schwarzschmied (a spa hotel nestled in vineyards), 1477 Reichhalter (an inn with eight rooms in a building that has stood since the fifteenth century), Villa Arnica, Parkhotel Mondschein (an 800-year-old property in Bolzano), and Gruberngut mountain farm. Each property is designed by local architects and artists — Christina Biasi-von Berg, Harry Thaler, Hannes Egger — and furnished with pieces that belong to the building rather than a brand identity. The food is rooted in what grows locally. The group also runs arise, a yoga and wellness programme, and Luna, a restaurant and bar.
